		At First Integram, we work with our partners to ensure that students enrolled in this programme through us have a wonderful experience. The Work and Travel USA program has standards of its own. It is meant for full time university students aged between 18-28, with intermediate to excellent English.

			Why Work and Study in USA?
		The Work and Travel USA is a program instituted by the United States Government, and operated by designated Organizations who act as sponsors. Under this program, international students can legally enter the US for a period of up to 5 months during their vacations and work for US employers. he work duration however shall not exceed 4 months/ This program is beneficial both for US-based businesses who use seasonal staffing to cover their rising work force needs during the busy month, and for students who get a perspective on American culture, travel, and earn money.


			The Application Process
		When a student applies to our programme, the individual fills an application form and submit to us toether with the necessary documents and requirements which are stiputaled to them. We go ahead to process documents for onward submissionn to our partner organisations who will then also process, to make sure the sutdent meets all the requirements. If there is the need for an interview, this is done, to ensure the English level of the individual. Sponsors then go ahead to process and issue the DS-2019 form. With this the student now goes through the interview process. The student is now set for their US work experience programme! Students also have insurance processed for them to meet any unforseen circumstances. There is still time to register for the 2010 season


			Programme Duration
		Typically the exchange program lasts for 4 months starting from May, during the official vacations students have in their home country. International exchange students can work for 4 months, and then they have the 30-day 'grace period' for traveling within the States. They are not allowed to work during this period. The exact program dates are indicated in the DS-2019, which identifies the individual as an exchange visitor.
